Huldenberg is very proud that the World Championship cycling peloton is crossing our municipality. At the same time, it is important to be well prepared and to think ahead about our relocations from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 September. We are primarily talking about Huldenberg, but the traffic situation is the same in all municipalities of the Flandrien loop: Overijse (Terlanen, Overijse and Eizer), Tervuren (Duisburg), Bertem (Korbeek-Dijle) and Leuven.

The course will be completely closed: two hours before the riders' passage until one hour after the (last) passage of the green flag. The hours we give here apply to Huldenberg, Overijse and Tervuren and are calculated based on how fast the riders cycle on average. That can of course fluctuate a bit.

In this regard, we would like to emphasize that all these measures have been imposed from above (guidelines of the international cycling organization UCI) and these measures are not related to the activities that we organize as a World Cup village. The measures would have applied in any case, even if the municipality was not a World Cup village.

The Flandrienlus route is closed to all traffic on the following days:

  • Thursday 23 September from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (practice runs)

  • Friday 24 September from 13:30 to 17:30 (U23 Men)

  • Saturday, September 25 from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM (Elite Women)

  • Sunday, September 26 from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Elite Men)

The World Cup course crosses Huldenberg twice: the first time the riders come from Korbeek-Dijle, the second time from Duisburg:
